Strengthening My Skills: Lifesaving & CPR Certifications Completed in 2024
At DORY Swimming School, safety is the foundation of everything we do. Each year, I make it a priority to update and refresh my lifesaving and first aid qualifications so that every swimmer who trains with us can learn in a secure, professionally supervised environment.
In 2024, I successfully completed several lifesaving and emergency care certifications. These programs strengthened my knowledge, improved my practical skills, and reinforced my commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety at the pool.
Lifesaving & CPR Certification (2024)
In 2024, I completed the Life Saving CPR certification, ensuring that I am fully trained in:
High-quality CPR for adults and children Rescue breathing techniques Updated emergency response procedures Handling sudden aquatic and medical emergencies with confidence
This certification allows me to act quickly and effectively in any life-threatening situation.
ILS Pool Lifeguard Course (2024)
I also completed the International Life Saving (ILS) Pool Lifeguard training. This program provided expert-level skills in:
Pool surveillance and safety management Quick and safe water rescue techniques Responding to spinal injuries and critical scenarios Preventing accidents through proactive observation
This qualification ensures that all DORY swimming sessions are monitored by a trained and certified lifeguard.
First Aid Level I & Level II Certifications (2024)
First Aid Level I
In 2024, I completed Level I training to enhance my basic first aid skills, including:
Basic life support Managing minor injuries First response to burns, cuts, sprains, and falls Assessing emergency situations quickly and calmly
First Aid Level II
I then completed the more advanced Level II program, which covered:
Treating more serious injuries Assisting individuals with medical emergencies Applying proper bandaging and splinting techniques Managing emergency situations until medical help arrives
